Hmmm – always striving to win another coveted Chupa Chups virtual award, I am just wondering … could this possibly be the/a home of Serge Gainsbourg? I’m really not sure, but recall reading that his home had become a kind of pilgrimage site, along with his gravesite at Montparnasse … and since you posted about that unusual park in his honour … just a guess!

Ah, the depravity that must have occured behind these walls! While other “notables” would have been annoyed by such “art”, I am quite sure that Gainsbourg would have been quite comfortable with it.
Tell me Paul, as with SF, Paris must have it share of celebrities that actually live (as opposed to just maintaining a residence as so many do) in and around. Is Paris as laissez faire about the famous as those living in the Bay Area? or is it more like LA, with folks who stalk the “hot spots” for sightings?

To answer your question, Parisians are so conceited that they expect to be star hunted and thus do not hunt themselves. Sure, every one has their share of star spottings, but no one really stalks. That said, we do have our share of paparazzi here!
