Let me die not with bed made

Let my last minutes not be passed on menial tasks

Rather let me die having fun, my daily chores left undone

Let me die not with pockets stuffed

Let my last coins not go to waste, prisoners to a safe

Rather let me die poor, rich with times i enjoyed more

Let me die not with glass full

Let my last sips not be wasted, left untasted

Rather let me die feeling fine, high, happy with wine

Let me die not my beasts defeated

Let my last breaths not be spent after my demons’ deaths

Rather let me die a rebel, defiant before the gates of hell

This is the third and final installment of my One Life Trilogy.

The first piece is “Tales the Dead Tell“.

The second is “Imprisoner“.
